If the demand to ban Madras Cafe is against the freedom of speech - TopicsExpress

If the demand to ban Madras Cafe is against the freedom of speech and expression, why were movies like ‘In the name of Buddha’ (a film about civil war in Sri Lanka), ‘Kuttrapathirikkai’ (a film about the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi), ‘Thenkoodu’ (a film about the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils) and the book ‘Satanic forces’ (a compilation of news media reporting the heinous crimes of the IPKF against Tamils in Sri Lanka) banned? More importantly, question on why these films were not brought into the boundaries of freedom of expression has to be raised here.
