If you are in #Atlanta and are in need of shelter here is a list of places where you and your family can find help. Emergency Shelter Locations: SANDY SPRINGS: Red Cross has opened a shelter at Hammond Drive (Hammond and Glenridge Drives) open to anyone who is stranded. Officers who come across stranded motorists are offering rides to the shelter. COBB COUNTY: Cobb County Fire is offering shelter in fire stations for motorists that may be stranded and without heat. Call 911 to report your location. CHEROKEE COUNTY: -Revolution Church on Union Hill Trail -Action Church on Marietta Roads in Canton -Woodstock First Baptist Church on Highway 92 -Kings Academy on Arnold Mill Road DEKALB COUNTY: All fire stations and police stations are opening as warming stations until further notice. In addition, Home Depot, Target and Publix stores are also availing their locations as warming stations for the general public. SMYRNA: The Smyrna Community Center is open for those stranded in the area, 200 Village Green Cir, Smyrna, GA. ALPHARETTA: The City of Alpharetta has opened its Community Center as a temporary shelter for motorists who have become stranded due to hazardous road conditions. The shelter is located at 175 Roswell Street in Alpharetta.
