If you dont care for MoJos politics, check out the front page of the NYTimes or the Sacramento Bee. Were waaaay past stopping climate change. Now were in mitigation. A whole lot of people are going to need to move. Food and water are going to become major issues in large parts of the world. And yes, many people are going to die. The planet will be fine, if different. Much of its life, however, will disappear. The Anthropocene Extinction will make the Permian Extinction look like a road bump. Theres still time to make some changes toward a world that eats and works locally and shares information globally, but the odds are that, for your grandchildren, it will be scatter, adapt, remember.
