If you dont know love then someone will teach you how to hate yourself and then you will confuse the two. It is imperative for you to know that love is not pampering. There is a difference between love and pampering. Just because a man pays for you to dress and look nice does not mean he loves you, and just because he doesnt do those things does not mean he doesnt love you. Love is an idea and is based on actions, but those actions are intangible actions. Love is how he talks to you, how he respects you, how he treats you. Love is not how much he can spend on you or how much he does for you. A married man, a player or a pimp knows how to do and say all the right things when they need to, but that does not mean they love you. Just like sitting in the garage does not make you a car. If its painful it is not love. In an intimate relationship there is a fine line between love and pain. It may hurt you that you cannot go on a shopping spree but that is not the pain Im referencing. The pain that Im referring to originates from physical, emotional and verbal abuse, and infidelity.
