If you had a mentally retarded person in your family, do you think youd throw the word around as much as you do? If you had a family member who had a traumatic brain injury, would you be making fun of a celebrity who suffered one in a car accident? If your brother went to war and got his legs blown off, would you call him a stupid coward? If your best friend came to you and said his family disowned him because he told them he might be gay, would you call him a faggot? Would you call your grandmother or grandfather who didnt share your political points of view worthless pieces of shit? I know I wouldnt. So maybe we could all stop hiding behind the safety of our computers a little bit and give more than a moments thought to the things that we say.
