If you have expressed an interest in our new Megawhite Blue Fusion teeth whitening treatment and have asked, or wish to ask questions then please take some time to read the following: Our Megawhite Blue Fusion Treatment is an express teeth whitening treatment and takes just 15 minutes. It meets all current EU standards, is NON PEROXIDE and is SELF ADMINISTERED with no intervention from us. We are NOT dentists and will at no time advise you in any way regarding the condition of your teeth. Anyone can have this treatment, even those with veneers, crowns or caps and it is suitable for almost everyone from the age of 14 (except for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing treatment for cancer ie radiotherapy). Results are instant and should take your teeth back to natural colour by up to 8 shades. How does it work? The main whitening and cleansing ingredient in our exclusive formula is sodium bicarbonate. It goes deep into the pores of the teeth – called the dentin – and oxidises the molecules that make teeth appear yellow, dark and stained. The Megawhite Blue Fusion gum shield is filled with the unique product and inserted into the mouth. The light is then directed at the shield. Once the laser light hits the product, the formula becomes active. This releases oxygen that creates a pressure which pushes oxygen into the core of the tooth. The oxygen and cleaning agents, combined with the high intensity laser light, turns the tooth’s inner surface from a brown/yellow colour to a white colour, without changing or damaging the structure of the tooth’s enamel. Our Megawhite product also contains silicone to help the laser light travel around the entire mouth, a catalyst activator called photo initiator is also added to ensure the oxygen is released as quickly as possible. What will happen when I have the treatment? When you arrive we will provide an accurate ceramic measurement chart to demonstrate the current shade of your teeth which can then be compared with your renewed shade after treatment. We then give you a sealed bag containing your whitening shield. You place this in your own mouth and press gently to ensure that the gel is in contact with the teeth. We provide you with safety glasses before directing the advanced Blue Fusion laser onto your teeth for just 15 minutes. At the end of this time you then dispose of the shield into a bag and cleanse away any remaining gel with tissue. Each whitening treatment should last for 4 to 6 months but Blue Fusion is safe to repeat up to four times per year.
