If you have read Dinos post, you are probably like me: life is like a story that is told. It goes by so quickly. I remember Dino as a boy and it seems but yesterday. Someone once said, You only begin to live when you realize how short is life. This is so true. Alexander the Great had courtier tell him every day, Alexander, thou art mortal. I am not sure why he did this except to remind himself that life is short and uncertain. Too many people dont live this way. They ignore their mortality and live each day as if they will never die. There is something inside all of us that tells us that we were made to live forever. This is the soul of man. But too many people mistake the body for the soul, as the rich fool Jesus told us about, and ignore the grim fact that today might be their last day on earth. Snap your fingers, and as you do , remind yourself that somewhere two people just died. Paul said,Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. This is why it is so important to place your life in the hands of the One who holds eternity in His hands. Hell is filled with people who said, You know, I am going to change the way I live tomorrow. I am going to give my life to God, go to church and be a better person. But tomorrow never came. My dear friends, tomorrow may not come for you and me. We had better humble our hearts before the Lord RIGHT NOW, ask Him to forgive our sins, accept His forgiveness, and fall asleep telling Jesus how much you love Him.
