If you have thought of downloading my new book but havent done so yet, here is a wee incentive with the first story. Dream of Love It was early, still dark outside. She stirred, awakened from a deep sleep, the dream still burning in her heart. It burned day and night, the dream, the hope. It never died. It never wavered. She knew in her heart that one day the dream would come true. She rose to light the fire, the cold air catching her breath, forming misty clouds that hung in the air. She recited the promises she had known since her youth. Speaking them out prophetically, declaring their truth, gave her hope, kept the dream alive. As she laid the fire she thought of him, her beloved. It had been too short a time. Barely time enough to let love live. Seven short years, seven perfect years. Seven years! And then he was gone, taken from her all too soon. A short illness, at first it hadnt seemed bad, then the fever took hold and he was gone. She was alone and the years had passed. Oh, so many years had passed. Many would have given up, lost all hope, allowed disappointment and bitterness to destroy their heart. But she had hope, a hope that she had shared with her husband and now he was gone she carried the hope alone. She had hope beyond imagination, treasured closely in her heart. She had hope of the eternal promise and she knew she would see the day of its fulfilment. She had waited and would continue to wait until her last breath. The fire sparked into life, a flickering, faltering flame at first but as she fanned the hearth, it took hold. Like her dream, it seemed a flickering flame, but she fanned it to life day after day, until it burned deep in her heart. She worshipped, she prayed as she boiled a pan of water over the fire and prepared some breakfast. She slept little, ate little, just a meagre meal, the rest of the day she would fast and pray as she did every day. After she had eaten, she quickly did the necessary chores and then prepared to go to the temple. The sun had risen now and its warmth filled her heart as she left the house. She mouthed a prayer of thanks for this new day, for new mercies and hope. As she headed in the direction of the temple, her heart was stirring with expectation. Something felt different about today. She had been coming to the temple for years, decades, her life dedicated to worshipping her God. She prayed constantly, her lips moving in silent petition and praise. She knew the prophecies by heart and repeated them daily, anticipating their fulfilment. To us a child is born, to us a son is given. She spoke of his coming to whoever would listen. Prophesying of the Messiah was her lifes calling. Many listened at first, but as the years passed with no Saviour in sight, there were less willing to hear her prophesy of deliverance. Her faith never wavered. She stood firm, convinced of the word that had come to her. She would live to see his coming. Today she sensed something different. She held on to the promise that she would see the Saviour before she departed this earth. She was old now, surely he would come soon. Was this the day? She spent the day, as she always did, abandoned wholly to her God. She always sensed His presence but today it felt tangible. He seemed so close, she thought she could almost see Him. What was He trying to tell her? He was here, yes she knew that. Open your eyes, I Am is here, the quiet whisper in her heart stirred her spirit. She looked about her, the temple courts were filling with other worshippers bringing their offerings to YHWH. Wonderful Counsellor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace is among you. He is here, she gasped. He has come. She rose from her prayers and headed towards the crowds. He would direct her path, show her where He was. Ahead she saw a young couple, ordinary, poor and yet there was something extraordinary about them. The mother carried her precious newborn. When a a man came up to them, she recognised him as a devout worshipper. He was also awaiting the Promised One. He laid his hand on the babys head, speaking a blessing over him. Her heart skipped a beat. He knew too, the dream was true. As the man left, she hurried over to them to bring her prophecy. As she laid her hands on the child, she looked deep into his eyes and she knew she had seen Gods face. Love had come to earth. amazon.co.uk/Encounters-Love-Marisa-Rosie-ebook/dp/B00K76K0LQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403768579&sr=8-1&keywords=encounters+with+love+marisa+rosie
