If you put aside our horrible defense today (Bye bye Chavis) and LSU should win scoring 28 points in a football game, the score should have been 28-35 LSU going into those last few minutes of the game. The ruling on the field should have been a touchdown going into the half as the ball was over the goal line and his knee clearly was not down. But up in the booth, you need indisputable evidence to overturn a call on the field and no angle showed the knee not touching the ground when the ball went over the plane. It was reasonably not down because too much leg was showing for his knee to be on the ground, but that isnt indisputable. So we got robbed there clearly. This isnt to say Notre Dame wouldnt have gone for a touchdown in those last few seconds instead of a field goal and tied the game sending it into overtime....but that is harder to do than a field goal. But going back to my initial sentence....LSU should have never put themselves in a situation where the referees call determined the game....horrible defense Tigers and a disappointing end to a disappointing season. I know its a young team and a rebuilding year and next year will be better....but you have to produce at this level consistently.
