If youre a Queensland resident (or have a Queensland address), you need to see and sign this. Thanks to the Hon Peter Wellington MP, Independent member for Nicklin and Connie Cicchini from Lemon Laws 4 Aus, an official petition has been started to get the QCAT limit of $25k removed. For those who arent aware, QCAT (Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal) is the place you can go to formally resolve disputes. They run a mediation session first, to see if the two parties can resolve things out of court, then go into court if no agreement can be reached. Currently QCAT only has jurisdiction for cases UP TO $25,000, making it useless for items of higher value (like my $49,000 Jeep for example). If you can take a moment to sign the official petition here, the Hon Peter Wellington MP has offered to walk this into a parliament sitting and officially raise this for discussion and consideration. parliament.qld.gov.au/work-of-assembly/petitions/e-petition?PetNum=2315
