Im a piano teacher...which makes me mostly unqualified to comment on the news today but Im going to anyway. I did all I could do at the rallies and with on-line activity to support public education...and I have to say...this supposed deal that walk on water CC is touting on the news sounds like bunk to me. I dearly wish I could read the details...maybe Im wrong. Maybe its a great compromise. But if this deal isnt up to snuff, I hope the BCTF will trust well all still be behind you if you choose not to ratify. I cant imagine what it would feel like to head back to the classroom, after all youve been through, and not be satisfied with the deal. Every day, teachers have to psych themselves up to face the challenges and responsibilities their profession demands. Teachers need to feel pumped up about this deal...and I sincerely hope thats what happens. If thats not the case, lets just double our efforts.
