Im actually genuinely curious as to why there is such a negative stigma attached to consensual nonmonogamy. I am aware that our culture (and perhaps others) promotes monogamy and traditional marriage often on the grounds of religion and very heavily through the media, but with all of the issues that we observe in monogamous relationships, youd think the prejudice against nonmonogamy would be attenuated (by free-thinking individuals, at the very least), and that other options would be more widely accepted. Dare I open a discussion into why monogamy is still held as the superior choice? *Please remain as objective and rational as possible.
