Im at the Hotel Seattle in Seattle -- 10 hours late!! In all my traveling life, that is the latest that I have ever been on a train. You would not believe this place. Shoot, Im staying here and dont believe this place! It is a throwback to hotels 50-60 years ago -- no alarm clock, shortage of electrical outlets, elevator that goes thunk-a, thunk-a, etc. It reminds me of the Hotel Kirkwood in Des Moines. In reality, it is kind of a fun place. They have a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, so Ill load up good before going back to King Street Station and catching the train to Los Angeles. The trip has reached the Cape Canaveral phase -- 10 nights from now, I will be back in my own bed. And I cant wait. I AM having fun on the trip, but I am also ready to go home. I have shot so much video it isnt funny, but that was one of the things that I wanted to do on the trip. I want to grab some stills from the videos and post a slideshow here. And maybe a photo album. Well see about that. Some of you have commented on the statuses, and I do appreciate that. I want others to share this experience with me. I mentioned once or twice about writing a book about the trip. I have decided that I will write, and when it is finished, to self-publish it by putting it in PDF format and then e-mailing a copy to anyone who would like to read it. But that is WAY down the road. That bed looks so beautiful, and I want a shower and shave, so I will close this out for today. I will post a status tomorrow morning before I put the computer away and head for King Street Station.
