Im back and what a mental summer! My family and I took off in our new psychedelic spaceship van and drove through France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia to Hungary where we rocked up at S.U.N. Festival during some of the most biblical weather Ive ever known. Balazs and the crew looked after us like perfect hosts and their festival was completely perfect: So were you all. Our van got invaded by a llama and a camel kept wandering past our window. I played a very enjoyable set to a lot of very lovely people and then we spent a sublime weekend with a few thousand of our closest friends. After S.U.N. we spent a week hanging out at Lake Balaton, swimming and sunbathing and being the only incense-burning, hippy-music-listening, leopardskin-print van on the beach, while rows of Danish insurance executives and Dutch heating engineers looked on disapprovingly and pulled their children close. Finally we headed down to Ozora Festival where Ott & The All-Seeing I played our first ever European show. It was festival rules so after a shorter than usual soundcheck we piled into our set with as much enthusiasm as we could muster. The crowd were fantastic and the atmosphere amazing. We all enjoyed it immensely and were looking forward to going back next year. I finished the weekend with a surprise [it was to me] set in the chillout after the estimable Naked Nick before a few hours sleep and a 2500km drive back home through the Alps and eastern France. Massive thanks to everyone who turned out to all of my/our sets and to S.U.N. and Ozora festivals for inviting us. It was an unforgettable three weeks...
