Im gonna let you guys in on a little secret about myself..... if someone makes a comment to me on something that I might have said or done that I deem as unfavorable - I tend to be very diligent in my efforts to show them that they were misguided in their observation. Depending upon which nerve the well-intentioned observer may have stuck will determine the lengths I will go to prove to them just how far off base they were. Once in a while - despite my best efforts at dispelling their unfavorable review - I hit a brick wall and have no other option than to say that they were correct. I hit one of those walls this morning.... here a little background info that will help you sympathize with me.... we like to cover up the unfavorable parts of ourselves!!! A couple years ago on an unusually chaotic morning I found myself on my front porch after simultaneously realizing that the locked door just closed and that my key-ring was still on the kitchen counter. My friend Roger wasted no time in milking that bonehead move for all it was worth. You see my friend, Roger likes to tease people so I became the one that he picked on when making fun of people who lock themselves out of houses, cars, office buildings etc.I let him have his laugh but I knew I wasnt as bad as he was making me out to be. That is until THIS MORNING....When the AAA guy got my car unlocked and I was handing him my ID and membership card he said it wasnt necessary because HE RECOGNIZED ME...The AAA guy made fun of me and said that I was a regular. Even I cant sugar-coat that one... so I am officially admitting that I do have a problem with locks and the keys that open them!!
