Im gonna say this, and then be done, because Im tired of allowing myself to be emotionally provoked by willful ignorance. You can argue this individual case all you want (too bad there wasnt a trial with two lawyers whose jobs would have been exactly that, oh well). But here is what I have to say to people who do not understand the emotional response to this verdict. I am CONSTANTLY constantly being told that people who look like me are worthless. So worthless that we cannot even be murdered. Because only people can be murdered. And there are so many many cases that are not high profile. But every time there is a high profile case, I not only have hear that lives that look like mine or worthless but I have to watch people celebrate that fact. My computer and television fills with people who are just so pleased to hear that someone has gotten away with murdering someone that looks like me. Men join clubs and wear silly costumes devoted to their celebration of my countrys history of killing people who look like me without impunity. That shit hurts. If you could imagine living day in and day out with that pain, then you probably wouldnt spend precious minutes of your life arguing minatue to make the people who feel that pain feel worse. I get that that argument is fun for you. It is not fun for those of us who care. Have fun being a dick. Id much rather spend this time comforting people. SO IF YO ASS GETS BLOCKED TONIGHT, YOU KNOW WHY.
