Im not trying to be argumentative or to precipitate on anyones celebratory procession. This is the Deep Ecology Network and I want to retain my focus on the philosophy of Deep Ecology. Id also like to introduce the concept of bioregionalism here. If youre not familiar with the term, look up Peter Berg and Ray Dassman. In my work as an anthropologist and archaeologist, I lived and worked with people in Alaska who still organize their lives bioregionally. This is an eminently sensible way to organize human societies, very intuitive, much in keeping with natural organizational principles and a good way to live as a part of the Earth. Let me know where you all are up to in your knowledge/experience of bioregionalism and its relationship to Deep Ecology.
