Im perturbed wen ppl give me advice about marriage. Its always these stereotypical voices that hav that opinion : mus get married now, your mummy is old...mus find someone to take care of you now... For starters, its none of your damn business how I live my life :) Secondly, I may be a man, but I can cook a three course meal...English breakfast...program the washing machine...do my own laundry...iron a crisp cotton shirt immaculately...organize my wardrobe according to type, colour and season...wash the dishes myself...I do the grocery shopping for my house every month, so I know how to spot bargains, an manouvre thru aisles...choose the freshest veggies...I have my own car, so I drive around everywer I have to paying my bills...a regular job, that Im good at...and first aid/medic training, so I diagnose myself wen Im ill, or go to the doctor alone...and I have great fashion sense, cos I used to do modelling, so nobody actually chooses clothes for me...:) Soo...its safe to say, that I take care of myself. My mum isnt my slave. We sit and talk a lot, have mature conversations, and help each other do household, regular, important errands/decisions. Shes my mother, my guardian...not my servant. Its the same if I ever happen to get married, my wife is going to be my companion...my partner...my confidante. We will make important life decisions together, and deliberate daily on how to best plan a future for the both of us. There will be no such thing as the woman doing all the cooking and housework...and the man must buy food/pay bills etc (stereotyped system)...no...we will be equals, and devise a system whereby neither feels irrelevant or insecure. I will marry only to gain a companion In life...someone to complete me, and love me...not someone to be my glorified maid....thats not what a woman is ....shes much more than that.
