Im reading True Friendship (imagine the title is underlined, for the sake of my grammar-snob heart). Im just in the first few pages but I think its about authentic relationships and community for Christians. The author quotes David Schwimmer of Friends regarding the shows success: Its a fantasy for a lot of people - having a group of friends who become like family. I have that. It is one of, or perhaps the greatest, blessings in my life. Im thankful for all of my dear friends around the world and especially for my 2nd family--you know who you are. Especially for those of us who make our home far from our homeland and family, the promise becomes especially sweet: He puts the lonely in families. And He does.
