Im seeing posts about Eddy Mullets show on ClassX being shortened or cancelled altogether. Its a sad day when something like that happens to a diehard supporter of the local scene. I understand both sides of the issue here. I TOTALLY understand the financial side of it because for about 15 years Rockstars Glued has done this and made NO money. Everyone here works for ZERO dollars. Heres the deal......everyone needs to support ANY help they get 100% of the time, not just when things get bad. Im not putting anyone down, or being negative here so please dont rip my head off when you read this. Its coming from the best place, believe me. I cannot tell you the hours that I log in everyday working on my station. The amount of hours that my team spends promoting YOUR bands. The mass amounts of ways we try to get the people surrounding this scene to step up and support YOU, not us. When Im out, I am constantly talking about our local scene, and telling people to get to one of YOUR shows, pay money to see you play. That is what stations that support local music need from all of you. We need you to tell people you are being played on our stations, and that we support you. Had I not gotten donations at the beginning of April, Rockstars Glued would have shut down. We were a day away from losing what we have worked so hard for. It should NEVER come to the last second. If you have sent us music to our Gmail, you are getting played. Its a GREAT thing that I have seen so many of you supporting Eddy today. He so deserves all of our support for what he does. This should be a wake up call to all of us.....Support for the local scene will be gone if we dont all step up everyday and do something. :)
