Im sorry friends. Im sure some of you are getting tired of seeing this but I truly am in a fight for my my life. Please share, share, share. Lets see if we can get this to go viral! By now Im sure that most of you know that I was in the hospital for a while. (11 days) So heres the skinny. I went to the emergency room here where I live because as you may know I had been sick since before Christmas. The Dr. said I had walking pneumonia and I had started on my third round of antibiotics. Well I got really bad the day after I went to the Dr. the last time. They did a chest x-ray and I had full blown pneumonia but the x-ray also showed a very large mass in my lung so they did a CT scan and sure enough, there it was, bigger than life. My sodium was also dangerously low. So they transferred me to the hospital in downtown Fort Worth. I was in ICU for 3 days before they could get my sodium levels up and then they did a biopsy. Well sure enough I have small cell lung cancer and its a very large tumor. My Oncologist said that this type of cancer responds very well with chemo and radiation. I had my first round of chemo in the hospital and started my daily radiation treatments. After all of that they will reevaluate my treatment plan. 4 months after all my chemo I will have full cranial (brain radiation treatment because that is the most common place that this type of cancer reoccurs.
