Im starting to lose faith and respect in my fellow Americans and this is why. In German class today we were getting ready for winter fest and were rehearsing some songs. We have a guy from Ireland in the class and he asked if we could sing the wren song as well (its a rather good Irish Christmas song). While the teacher was tuning his violin I was talking to him and asked him why he would come here from Ireland and he said its better here and in my mind I was like thats obvious, were America but I said but its so beautiful there and he said yeah but beauty counts for nothing if ya cant eat and then it struck me. Here is a guy who works part time minimum wage while going to college, has a roof over his head and food in his stomach. He is happy. If he can have shelter, eat, have clothes on his back and still go to college all while working part time minimum wage then why are people crying about big business and low income? Ill tell you why, because they have been conditioned to WANT not NEED. this man came from Ireland looking for a job and an education and hes doing it on 9.10 an hour with less than 30 hours a week. Liberals, you no longer have an excuse. People think conservatives hate immigrants, well they are wrong. We love them and this Irish immigrant is exactly why. He will become something one day because he doesnt sit on excuses and complain about what he doesnt have and what big business has, its because hes thankful for what he has and knows how to use it. Its a shame that I have to say this but, Americans watch this immigrant and learn and you may be successful too. HARD WORK AND TRUE DEDICATION PAYS OFF.
