Im sure this will bother some people, but if being presented with an idea bothers you, its important to take a moment and consider whether its because the idea is wrong, or because it challenges an element of cognitive dissonance in what you proclaim to be right. It made my day to see RAINN addressing this question in a levelheaded way. If it offends you that I posted this, feel free to unfriend me, I wont take umbrage, but if it makes you think, whether you agree or not, please pass it on.
