Im technically homeless until I get a subsidized apartment next week. Several months ago, when I realized there was a chance Id be homeless I tried every no-kill shelter and rescue group within 400 miles but nobody would even FOSTER my pair of 14 yr olds because they were already full. I wasnt asking them to TAKE them, just foster them until I could get a place and get them back. I offered to pay for their food and litter even. Didnt matter. NONE of those CARING individuals or groups would even consider taking them. For various reasons (most of them legit I wasnt able to get any of my friends or acquaintances to foster them either. Luckily for me, I am currently in Utah and my emotional distress when I was seeing my counselor at WATCH (if they arent allowed to live, why should I be?) let her to declare them companion animals which meant I would be able to have them with me without having to pay the punitive pet deposits and additional monthly per pet rent add ons that most apartments charge. I KNOW that theyll be put down if anything happens to me. If I had a penny to spare Id send it to help. Im begging those who read this - please help her out. She doesnt deserve this.
