Im told that, in our new neighborhood, we can expect 500 or more trick-or-treaters to knock on our door on Halloween. Most of them wont live here, which is fine with me. As I wrote in this 2007 column, most parents who drive their children to a different neighborhood do so because of concerns for their safety.
