Im working on a project and I came across a tape of me bombing really bad during a standup set from 1991. I had a camera on a table in the back of the comedy club. Throughout my entire set, the people sitting at the table where my camera was were bashing me big time. I guess they didnt realize my video camera also has sound. Or, they didnt give a shit. I knew I wasnt doing well. I had no idea it was that bad. Even though it was so many years ago, it was still hard for me to watch and the peoples comments still kind of hurt. I did suck that night and when I watch it now, Im like, what was I thinking? Hey, I was 28. Maybe, comedians should hide a few recording devices at rear tables so they can really hear what the crowd thinks of their work.
