Imagine the on-going façade called Conference without any youth - TopicsExpress

Imagine the on-going façade called Conference without any youth out of the 70m youths we have in Nigeria. They instead sent their cronies who suffers sleeping sickness. They call us the future leaders, but where is the future amidst this miasma of hopelessness? They take undue advantage of us whenever election comes around, and they send their wards abroad. Have they forgotten that they will be hoist in their petards? Have they forgotten that the future of this country belongs to us? These never set the Thames on fire leaders have no modicum of plan for us, and by extension, Nigeria. Have these disoriented bunch of charlatans called leaders forgotten that we are the engine room of this country? Ojukwu was 33 when he rebelliously championed Biafran cause. Ken Saro Wiwa was 28 when he became a Federal Commisioner. Pat Utomi was 27 when he became a presidential aide to Shagari. Gowon was 32 when he became Head of State. Lee Kuan in Singapore was 31 when he became Singapore PM. MT Mbu was 23 when he became Minister of Foreign Affairs. So pathetic that Minister of youth in Nigeria was once in his 60s. What has happened to the veteran of jobless 70m youths in Nigeria? Teddy Everret became a US legislator at a very callow age. We must not eat the humble pie so that we can collectively Turn The Tide. We shall not rest. We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall fight on beaches, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills, we shall not surrender. We shall not pander to the inexcusable nescient disposition of our leaders. Nigerian youths, our future is in our hands. And we can make a spirited effort to be proactive in nation building or remain lethargic and mar our future. But it will be more dignifying if we can be in united front and Turn The Tide. Nigerian youths, this is my saddening lamentation. Very disheartening! Very heart-rending! Very lugubrious! Very execrable!
