Immigration Employment Invitation Test. It is beyond my - TopicsExpress

Immigration Employment Invitation Test. It is beyond my imagination the extent of the multitudes that went for the immigration employment aptitude test of which less than three percent of the interviewee would be given the offer at the end of the humiliating exercise. It is not the numbers of applicant that is disturbing, but the death casualty recorded has brought a big shame to the country as the so called consultant and the ministry saddled with the responsibility failed the nation for the sensitive task. The youth unemployment in Nigeria is a great concern for the right thinking citizen as the tertiary institution roll out graduates of various disciplines every year with little or no meaningful work to lay hand on. It is disheartening to note that some unscrupulous people have taken over the situation to amass wealth for themselves at the expense of innocent job seekers who are ready to pay the price for the job which may not be forthcoming. This trend goes on in every sphere of federal or state government job and this shows high level of insensitivity of the leaders in various sectors to fish out the culprit of these dastardly attitudes. Series of this test are just for formality sake because the result of the exam will never see the light of the day as the applicant aspirations is an effort in futility. Yes indeed, aptitude test can be conducted, but has to be done in orderly manner devoid of acrimony from the interviewer. The reverse is the case s as things were done hurriedly without proper planning .All the whole saga was just a brouhaha from different angles and the interviewer can not substantiate their position for this unwarranted psychological, emotion and physical injury. The most worrisome is the death recorded from this highly embarrassed employment issue. From the chronicle, the committee that investigated the one thousand naira paid for on line interview instructed the concerned to refund the money collected from the candidates. This supposed to be the first thing to be done before the aptitude test which was harshly conducted without any sober reflection from the money collected which runs to millions of naira. What a petty mind response and petty idea from the so called ‘Oga at the Top’ who could not logically explain the rationale behind the money collected from the applicant. Of course, the culture of impunity has been enthroned in Nigeria and the whole show of shame has been swept under the carpet. The dubious employment act did not portend a good image for the country in comity of nations as we could not continue to fold our harms with look warm attitude for the spate of corruption that pervaded the nooks and crannies of the country. We can not make a meaningful future without retrospective look at our mistake in the past with corrective measure in the present so as to prepare the country for the future. The future of the present youth is being mortgaged by the callous leaders and irrepressible Nigeria structure. The future of the country is on the hand of the present youth to whom their aspiration is cut short with deceitfulness by the power brokers. The country continuously breed tomorrow leaders in a very cruel way as a result of political unconsciousness for the yearning of the governed. To err is human, but when the errs are deliberate and uncontrolled, it brings anarchy and disintegration to the entity called Nigeria. I sympathized with the family of the bereave ones from this ugly incidence which can be curtailed if thing were well planned for in the first instance. Planning is the bedrock for the achievement of a goal and it is always futuristic. The human right society should wade into these lapses of the concerned people and seek for ways of prosecuting any individual no matter highly placed in the country. Nigerian youth are human being with bonifide citizenship for equal right and opportunity in all the geographical entity called Nigeria. The youth can not be castigated by cleverly remove their sensory organs which impair their thinking amongst other nationalities. It is an aberration to our national anthem for Nigeria call to obey, to serve our father’s land with love, strength and faith. It will be too succinct to say that Nigerian youth have lost confidence in our political and economic structure, but without mincing word, the love strength and faith reposed in them could not be found again as a result of being child of circumstances. Our resources have been circumvented by the heartless past and present leaders with maladministration. Nigeria child from infant read and hear the story of corruption daily which has affected his or her mental thinking, emotion behavioral pattern and the syndrome of getting rich quickly. I could then wonder how tomorrow would be because, an average youth of today found himself or herself disillusioned from the hand of self serving leaders without political will. The country can not create a good platform for the future if corrective measure were not taken to punish any culprit found in corruption from the top to the bottom of the ladder. The culture of regarding some highly placed as sacrosanct should be stop forthwith so as to move the nation forward. The nepotism and godfatherism should be shunned, the willful and wasteful spending of our resources should be curtailed in all entirety, politics without ideology should be thoroughly looked into, the vision must be properly set and pursue with vigor, the structural defect must be properly addressed and Nigerian right should not be abused any more. I strongly believe that Nigeria youth are creative but the present economic predicament they found themselves resulted in struggling to get federal government job at all cost. We have all the potential to create wealth for the nation but the enabling environment must be suitable for doing so. Electricity which is the life wire of industrial development must be urgently and permanently resolved. The financial system with accessibility to soft loan must be opened for youth empowerment. Inflation rate and cost of borrowing must be reduced to the bearest minimum. There should be a greater skew to export oriented nation rather than import dependent which continually depreciate of naira value daily. Nigeria has a multitude of problems but hide in the pretense that all is well. The country needs to identify her problem s, itemized it, with a collective effort to resolve it ,otherwise the country breeds more vampires. Nigeria problems emanated from Nigeria and will be solved by Nigerian if all the act of negativism is wiped away from Nigeria youth. We need to rebuild the nation for the benefit of us all.
