In 1990 Kashmiri Pandits with a population of almost 3,50,000 were uprooted from their Homeland Kashmir Because they Spoke for INDIA ,They were strangulated, Their houses were Burnt and Temples Destroyed.. Thousands were killed and many more were injured. Since then Kashmiri pandits have not gone back to their homes, For them, Home coming is yet a dream For them, Kashmir is a lost paradise Azad Kashmir movement.. A Movement whos initial step were laid on butchered corpses of Kashmiri Hindus. In 1989 Pakistan started proxy war called the Kashmiri Muslim to fight for Azad Kashmir.. Kashmiri Muslim started to target all Hindus in Kashmir valley.. First Pandit Tika lal a notable lawyer and a BJP national executive member was killed by JKLF in Srinagar on sep 14 1989. Soon after that Justice A.K Ganjoo of Srinagar High Court was shot dead Pandit Sarwanadh premi an 80yr old poet and his son were kidnapped, Tortured their eyes gauged out and Hanged to death. A Kashmiri Pandit nurse working at Kashmiri Medical College was Gangraped and then beaten to death another woman was abducted , Raped and Sliced into pieces at a wooden factory Many others were brutually injured their tongues were cut off, eyes gauged out and hands chopped off and so on. Tapes were played in Mosque louder and whole night Kashmir mein agar rehna hain toh ALLAH HU AKBAR kehna hain.. Yaha kya chalega Nizam-e-mustafa which means thy want Sharia rule Kashmiri Pandits reported to Police and Journalist but as the state machinery was dominated by Majority community failing to protect them they were left to die .. Kashmiri Pandits had no other option but to flee with this Pandits were forced to become refugee in their Own Country. Even after so many odd.. Kashmiri Pandits community continue to be 100% literate in the field of Education People like Anupam Kher , Suresh Raina and Kaveri Bomzai have made significant mark in the post migration era.
