In 2006, President George W. Bush said, I want to be absolutely clear with our people and the world: The United States does not torture. It’s against our laws, and it’s against our values. I have not authorized it, and I will not authorize it. This is from the guy who told us wed find WMDs in Iraq... the guy I voted for in the 2000 elections. If youve been following todays news, you should be stunned by the torture techniques we used against captive prisoners. Most people by now have heard of water-boarding. Another thing we were doing was stripping a prisoner bare-naked. We put them in a 50-degree bare cell and had ice cold water dumped on them every few minutes. Their body temps plunged quickly and this would go on and on for many hours. This is just ONE of the methods we have used. Sorry George. Sounds like torture to me.
