In Matthew chapter 14 we read that Jesus’ disciples were in a boat in the middle of the sea. Verse 24 says the winds were blowing and the boat was being tossed by the waves. Then they saw Him walking on the water. At first they were afraid until they heard the voice of the Lord saying : “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Peter saw the Lord and wanted to go to Him, so Jesus said: “Come”. Peter got out of the boat and started walking to Him. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:30-31) God gave you a dream. He put a promise in your heart and wants you to walk toward it, but if you take your eyes off the promise and look at the waves of circumstance and the winds of doubt you will start to sink. So do not doubt. Do not lose faith. Keep your eyes on the promise, knowing He who gave it to you is faithful. When you keep your eyes on God’s promise to you it will fill you with hope. Fear and doubt may try to draw your attention away and cause you to become discouraged; but if you keep your eyes on His promise you will find strength. And that strength will give you hope. And that hope will give you the assurance that God’s promise to you will come to pass. Keep your eyes on His promise, and Be Blessed!
