In North Carolina, the state mandates certain types of licenses for hunting, fishing, trapping. Generally there is a basic license, and then theres add on tags. Theres fishing, then theres a trout privilege tag you can buy. Theres basic hunting and then theres the Big Game Privilege tag Also a bonus doe privilege tag. I know Im just old and agitated but the use of the term privilege irks the heck outta me. Im ambivalent to some extent about the whole .the State owns all the game gig to start with. Now if a man is fishing or hunting for food for himself or his family, taking the bounty of nature, I dont see much privilege aspect to it. Go easy on me know, like I said, Im grumpy......
