In an action supportive of CRNA practice in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), a key House committee has affirmed the VHA’s process for recognizing APRNs including CRNAs to their full practice authority. According to report language added to April 9 to the FY 2015 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill, the House Appropriations Committee stated, “The Committee encourages the VHA to seek input from internal VA program offices and external professional stakeholders, prior to possible regulatory action and submission to the Under Secretary for Health for final approval.”
