In ancient times, according to the myths of various tribal cultures, men could communicate with animals, plants, minerals, atmospheric events and celestial bodies. Then, as the process of separation developed, this connection was cut off. Such a crucial shift seems to be related to the eclipse of nomadism and the advent of agriculture. The societies that developed in those times gradually lost the deep relationship with nature that had characterised their ancestors. Through the metamorphosis produced by trance states it was still possible to occasionally re-establish some form of communication. Then this possibility also became very rare, until it was limited to a few shamans. These unusual people, by entering into an altered state of conscience, could access that mythic past of communion with all nature and bring wisdom into this separate parallel reality.
