In case Mr. Aguja does not know, we are a progressive mass organization that protects the rights of the Filipino youth here and in whatever country there are Filipinos. Our organization was active in Edsa Dos and was targeted by Pres. Arroyo’s extrajudicial killings which we endured in the name of the principles that Anakbayan embodies. WE DO NOT TAKE ANY ATTACKS ON OUR REPUTATION LIGHTLY, ESPECIALLY FROM THOSE WHO CLAIM TO BE WILLING TO SERVE US IN AN OFFICIAL POSITION. As such, we are already considering what action to take through the Commission on Elections with regard to this despicable act. To whom does credit for August 11 rightly belong? Certainly not with Tingog. Neither does it belong to Anakbayan or any other group for that matter. This victory was the result of the collective action of the Carolinian studentry. It was the students who massed across the Portal, who wore black on that day or who expressed their support in other ways has the right to claim this victory as their own.
