In just a couple of weeks our CEO Abraham Maluk leaves for Sth - TopicsExpress

In just a couple of weeks our CEO Abraham Maluk leaves for Sth Sudan, where he will spend 5 months putting some things in place to support the children and strengthen the community. The children still remain outside the UN compound in Bortown, 40 kms from the village they call home. The UN compound is at capacity and cannot cater to the children of our project, although they have been able to supply them with a small amount of food & they have been getting some basic schooling. Abraham will work really hard with our team on the ground to establish a feeding station, employing some of the local women to provide at least one regular & highly nutritious meal to around 200 children per day. We are extremely grateful to Natalie Macpherson of Jambo Mtoto who this week donated $2,500 for this very purpose! As the children are displaced for the time being, the feeding station will be a simple set up but we plan to soon have a more permanent structure! Jambo Mtoto (like them on fb!) necklaces, handmade by Natalie are supporting a number of charities to ease some of lifes burdens for suffering children in Africa. Natalie also funded a camera for Abraham to take to Sth Sudan with him. We will soon be able to share lovely photos of our developing project!! But wait, theres more.... Natalie also rallied lots of people to make up 200 cloth bags for the kids! The children are traumatised. They are mostly orphaned and we arent yet sure how many children we lost in the outbreak of fighting early this year. We look forward to Abraham meeting up with our children, with lots of practical items and lots of goodwill and love! Stay tuned for some real updates! Jambo Mtoto, you are a champion to children all over Africa!!
