In my Laboratory at the Chemical Center, we have experties in minerals and experimental methods to test jewels. I also developed a kit for testing "jewels" . I developed cooperation with goldschmidts and antic dealers, we are cooperating in testing gems. Some of the tests we make on diamonds are: the condutivity test, which enables the identification of carbon, and enables to identify diamonds; a luminescence test by irradiating in the UV; the observation under the stereomicroscope; the cleaning of jewels under the stereomicroscope. Very often people are asking me to test their jewels, very often I do it for free... Sometimes we make shows for children, and very often we substitute diamonds by plastic, as is the case shown in this photo. So, we are in a way imitating Poen de Wijs in his plastic pyramidal toy imitating a brilliant in The Eye of the Beholder.
