In my life, Ive learned no one really knows God until they have - TopicsExpress

In my life, Ive learned no one really knows God until they have faced and overcome great difficulty with His help. Until that time we are just giving lip service to God. We dont really know His power and strength that comes into play when we surrender completely to Him. Its interesting that for years I thought I had surrendered and yet reading my journals through the years I was always admitting that I hadnt surrendered the issue of food. Not surrendering that one major thing in my life spilled over into other things including spending habits, saving, moving to clean house or do laundry, slothfulness, inactivity ... need I go on? When I finally gave up trying and surrendered it all to the care of an Almighty God, it was like blessings began to flood my life and I was finally open to receiving them. Obedience to God out of love and friendship with Him opens the doors to so much else. What is it you are holding on to? What would it take to just open your hand and let it fly into the arms of a loving God? What would that mean in your life if you did that? What blessings might overtake you because of that? #sweetgrace
