In order to love and nurture others, you must first love and nurture yourself. Days are long, but they fly by as time passes so quickly. At the end of the day when your head is hitting the pillow and you reflect on what was good, what was bad, what you did, and what you didn’t do….and then you start thinking about what needs to be done tomorrow. STOP STOP STOP…those questions are insignificant. The real question is “What did you do today that nourished your soul?” Are you taking time for you? Do you have a designated sanctuary? (Mine is the shower). What are you doing for yourself that is good for you….mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, socially? Are you fulfilled with love, peace, joy? Those are the true rewards, but you must take time to reap them. What are YOU pursuing in life that is nourishing YOUR soul with love, peace, and joy? If you keep living for others, all you can say is that I helped them...but, did you help yourself? It really is okay to take time for you. No excuses today.
