In response to Brian Petersens book nomination: 1. American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Amazing book. 2. Cosmos by Carl Sagan. This non fiction book ignited my love of space and science. The series on TV is good (old and new), but the book is so much more in depth. 3. World War Z by Max Brooks - really fun book in sort of a documentary format. 4. 1984 by George Orwell - everyones favorite. 5. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. 6. A Picture of Dorian Grey. This book got me through some tough times. 7. Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan. Seems almost like the inverse of Cosmos to me. 8. Harry Potter Series 1-7 by J.K. Rowling. 9. Frankenstein or the Modern Day Prometheus by Mary Shelley. 10. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I think its hilarious; Mr. Bennett: You mistake me, my dear. I have the utmost respect for your nerves. Theyve been my constant companion these twenty years.
