In the summer of 1992, I went to my third Nirvana concert in Seattle. I was so in love with the band and the way their music made me feel...at the time it was so unlike any other rock and roll and as a 19 yr old trying to find my place in the world I feel in love with Kurts words. Its like we knew each other before we even met. My friend Kims older brother was working security backstage, so after the show he was able to get us through to the back of the club. Were we actually going to meet the band?! Kurt was sitting there surrounded by fans and we waited about 10 mins until he was done talking to them and signing pictures. Finally we locked eyes and I somehow introduced myself even though i was completely tounge tied. He asked us how we liked the show and we talked for about 30 mins until he eventually invited us to an after party at his friend Joes house. Kurt and I spent the whole night talking. People would come up to him and drag him away but he kept finding me in the crowd. I got to ask him all my burning questions. He was so curious about my life. He looked deep into my eyes and smiled every time I would speak. He asked me to go upstairs with him and he made love to me in a strangers room. I went home that night and 9 months later my son was born.
