In the wake of Robin Williams death I feel compelled to say many things. Probably the thing I can do the most good by saying is this: Anyone and everyone can be brought low by depression. It is the most common of the mental flora in an era when the majority of our mental wellbeing industries exhibit at best the same knowledge of mental health as our physicians possessed of physical health in the 16th century. I was going to write more. Instead I will merely say that I was brought low by depression for an unknown number of years when younger; I dont know how long because I never could identify the beginning. And if I can be, then you can too. Ill leave you with this. Its probably the best exploration of depression thats ever been committed to screen.
