In todays [25/03/2014] Barbados Daily Nation newspaper there was a news report published stating that after Amnesty International had called on Barbados to investigate reports of police brutality against two men while in police custody. Than the following day the news article said a mother had claimed that her son was a victim of police brutality and was beaten by police and had to be hospitalised, according to this recent news report. I can say while I lived in Barbados before 2003, I had always heard rumours that the Barbados Police Force had a reputation for police brutality with their accused while in police custody. I attempted to post and share this news report on my Facebook page but for some unknown it would not let me. So if Amnesty International is reporting these incidents as factual, than there is must be some truth in this shocking news story.
