Inclusion of Curd or any Milk product does make sense in any Vegetarian Diet . The Protein part that a Vegetarian gets is from both animal and plant source. Unless we combine both we do not get a complete Protein--that is which has all the required amino acids . Lunch can be Vegetable fried rice , with a Spicy dal, a raita with chopped tomato/onion/cucumber , or even mashged potatoes in curd, or Brinjal rosted or cooked and mashed in curd, etc-- A mild Jeera Rice with Rajmah, a salad, a bowl of curd . Rotis would taste lovely witha gravy based dish as they are dry.A dal fry, a Dal wth choice of stir fry veggies,Channa etc-- If for some reason Curd , Milk is not of your choice, a tall glass of fruit milkshake ,a slice of cheese inside the roti or a paneer dish would be sufficient. Try to combine a carbohydrate witha a protein source wth a variety of vegetables & always a Milk product preferably for a meal.
