Incredibly,The Complete Dick Van Dyke Show Blu-ray collection from Image Entertainment is currently selling for less than $60 on Amazon! If you dont have this wonderfully comprehensive collection yet, I urge you to click the link below and rectify that situation at once. The set, produced by Paul Brownstein, is a fans dream, presenting complete episodes of all 158 episodes in gorgeous high definition prints that look like they were shot yesterday. The set is loaded with enough extras to satisfy even the most jaded fan, including clips of the cast and creators picking up Emmy awards, behind the scenes interviews with the cast, as well as plenty of complete episodes of related shows, including my favorite: Morey Amsterdams crossover appearance, as Buddy Sorrell, on a 1963 episode of The Danny Thomas Show. I cant imagine a better price, or better value, for that matter. Seeing the show in high definition is like discovering them all over again. If you havent gleaned it yet, I highly recommend this set for giving or getting! In the interest of full disclosure, I earned a credit as Executive Creative Consultant on the set, but, trust me, Id be singing its praises just as high even if I hadnt.
