Indian producers file petition to start antidumping investigation on solar imports from EU and Japan 22.07.2013: Indian solar companies Indosolar Ltd., Jupiter Solar Power Ltd. and Websol Energy Systems Ltd. filed a petition to start an antidumping investigation into solar cells and modules imported from the EU and Japan, reports Bloomberg. The three companies are the same companies that filed a petition last year to open an antidumpinng investigation into silicon and thin-film PV cells imported from the US, China, Taiwan and Malaysia. That investigation was officially launched in November 2012. India’s Department of Commerce held an initial hearing on the investigation into PV cells imported from the US, China, Taiwan and Malaysia on July 18. The investigation seeks to determine whether foreign manufacturers have engaged in unfair trade practices that have materially damaged the Indian solar industry. The period of investigation runs from Jan. 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, while the injury period goes back to April 1, 2008. © PHOTON bloomberg bloomberg/news/2013-07-19/india-may-expand-solar-anti-d umping-probe-to-eu-japan.html
