Inflation is a poorly understood phenomenon in the United States. It is often assumed that prices rising over time are completely natural, or that it is purely a reflection of fewer goods relative to people in our country. The truth is that although we experience inflation as prices rising, it actually occurs mostly due to the devaluation of currency. Take ten minutes today to sit and watch this video, I will post part 2 tomorrow and by the end of part 2 I promise you will better understand inflation, its role in war, and you will probably even have a pretty good guess as to who is the main cause of it (hint: it’s the Federal Reserve).
