Inspired by Anthony Ongaro, Ill share an archived entry from my old Xanga. I wrote this 10 years ago today: This morning, after Emily woke me up, saying, You never set your alarm clock anymore, do you?, I stood in the bathroom and watched myself watching myself for several minutes, trying to wake up. I skipped International Relations and felt awful. Too often, I skip it rather than going. Instead of sitting in class, I was in the office and working on a composite photo of Don Supalla and two naked hookers. I [was] thinking, Soon, Ill go, and kept reassuring myself that I hadnt been lying. But I stayed, and, when Leticia came by to drop off Girl Scout cookies, after the class had ended, we walked up to her meeting, past where I mightve seen him. I pulled my hood up as we walked, so that, if my teacher saw me, I might not be immediately recognizable. I felt like a criminal. J. sat out in the lobby area near lab, and heard a cat meowing. I walked out and was unable to hear or find anything. I put my cell phone in a drawer in the lab room, forgot Id left it there, and then later had to call Maintenance to get the room unlocked.
