Insurmountable (adj) – incapable of being overcome This is the word that has been plaguing my thoughts for the past few days. Insurmountable… Recently, it seems as though people in the Body of Christ are facing insurmountable odds, which is basically the inability to cross over a mountain that has been strategically placed to prevent you from reaching your promise (my definition). Dealing with insurmountable odds can be discouraging, devastating, degrading and even depressing, but there is hope. Here are a few reminders to those who may be feeling this way: 1) We must keep the faith!!! But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) 2) Our confessions have power!!! For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21) 3) It’s already done!!! God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) And the Lord your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the Lord your God hath promised unto you. (Joshua 23:5) 4) We already have the victory!!! For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33) Hope this encourages you!!! :) #edifyingthebody
