Interestingly, they were heads of states, presidents, ministers, commissioners, permanent secretaries, ambassadors and whatnots in their 20s and early 30s. Today, for the love of power, they dismiss citizens of that age-grade as kids, politically naïve, socially irresponsible and, for these biological crimes, incapable of running any institution. The very institutions they mismanage. This way, they reduce the youth to inconsequential PAs and SAs or to being the SAs to the SSAs to powerless nonentities Created for the purpose. Power-drunk, they couldnt even leave the state and federal ministries of youth nor even offices of the youth in their parties for the truly youthful. - Gimba Kakanda I hope the youths are really ready and courageous enough to face this challenge. The youth constitute most of the setback we presently encounter today by allowing these old power mongers turned them to errand boys. Its now time, we youth stand up for our mandate. Former President Yakubu Gowon celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday and He became the president at the age 31. But I wonder how a brilliant chap of such age will be denied a lower political office mandate in a liberal system we called democracy. May God save us from us!!!
